Offenbar hat er sich in all der vielen Freizeit, die ein Profifußball so zur Verfügung hat, aber auch schon länger mit der Technik des Kickens im American Football beschäftigt. Gänzlich abweichend vom Fußball ist diese Technik zwar nicht, das Spielgerät jedoch ein ziemlich abweichendes – und die Präzision muss dennoch hoch sein, um im Profi-Bereich der NFL eine Chance zu haben.
Dass das Ganze kein April-Scherz ist, beweist der Umstand, dass der Kurier über Fuchs‘ ungewöhnliche Pläne bereits im Juli 2018 berichtete. Ob er wirklich ernsthafte Chancen besitzt, in der NFL unterzukommen, muss aber wohl offenbleiben. Versuchen werde es aber in jedem Fall, mehr als scheitern könne er dann ja nicht.
Zudem lebt er mit seiner Familie bereits in New York und weilt nur für seine Trainings und Spiele in Leicester. Angesichts der Schwere der Corona-Krise gerade in New York befindet er sich zurzeit aber nicht in der Stadt, sondern abgeschottet mit seiner Familie weit außerhalb.
